Our costume consists of a black suit jacket, a black leotard, dance shorts and tights. We aren't sure whether to wear fishnet tights or just thin transparent tights. This is because we can't overdo the burlesque act as it may be too suggestive. We also chose to have bare feet without shoes/heels, as it would be difficult to do all the dance routines wearing them.
Makeup & Hair
We decided to have our hair down, as it would be much more effective on certain actions we do such as head rolls and flicks. For makeup, we did some research focusing on the type of eye designs which were usually a smokey eye effect with a lot of eyeshadow and glitter. We have also chosen to wear dark red lipstick

Lighting
We are choosing a natural front lighting for the beginning which will then switch to a dramatic red which should happen when sit down on the chairs. The red wash suits with the provocative mood of the act.

As the venue is the Sealight theatre, we need to practise in there to get comfortable with the amount of space we will have. However it should be fine as there is only 2 of us, and we onyl have 2 props (2 chairs). We may need to adjust ours and the chair's positioning depending on if the lighting can reach us if we're too near the back, or too far forward. We are also going to have the 'Burlesque' logo projected on the back wall.
